Fairway Cove is a community overseen by a volunteer board of five elected members. In 2025, there are two (2) seats on the board open for election. Below is general information about this year’s election process, including deadlines, as outlined in Fairway Cove’s Bylaws. As of 2025, a Nominating Committee is no longer required.

Homeowners can expect to receive at least two mailings with additional information about the Annual Meeting and Board of Directors election. It is important homeowners review the material provided and respond by the assigned deadlines.

February 3, 2025

Vista Association Management mailed homeowners First Notice of the Annual Meeting, Annual Meeting Proxy Form, and Intent To Be A Candidate Forms for those interested in being placed on the ballot for the annual Board of Directors election.

March 10, 2025
Vista Association Management mails Election Ballot and Second Notice of the Annual Membership Meeting. This mailing will include notice of DEADLINE to return signed and sealed ballots. In 2025 there are two (2) vacancies on the board. Two homeowners returned Candidate Forms: Greg Angel and Antony Everett.

It is important to note that ballots are required to have the exact number of votes as there are vacancies, so a ballot is only valid and will only be counted in 2025 if there are no more and no less than two (2) votes.

If you are mailing your ballot, they must be returned to Vista’s Office (323 Circle Drive, Maitland, FL 32751) by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025. Ballots can also be dropped off prior to the Election Committee meeting on April 1, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at 6600 Cristina Marie Drive, Orlando FL 32835.

If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, it is very important for you to complete and return your proxy. A pre-addressed, return envelope is included in the second notice mailing for your convenience.

The 2025 Election Committee members are: Toni Sweeney, Andy Showen, and Michelle Richard.
The Election Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at 6600 Cristina Marie Drive. A Zoom link will be provided for anyone interested in watching the election committee meeting.

Note: With a majority of homeowners approving changes to the elections section of our governing documents, those interested in running in the election for Board of Directors no longer need to submit an application to a Nominating Committee. Instead, individuals may submit a Notice of Intent To Be A Candidate form before the prescribed deadline.

A quorum of the membership must be present for the Annual Meeting to occur. A quorum is not required for an election as per the Association Governing Documents and all ballots will be counted prior to the Annual Meeting at the meeting of the Election Committee.
