Fireworks Rules & Safety Tips in Fairway Cove
Fourth of July is one of three days Florida law allows residents, age 18+, to use and purchase consumer fireworks. However, homeowners should be aware that City of Orlando’s Noise Ordinance remains in effect, even on Fourth of July.
The City’s general noise ordinance applies during quiet hours (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) and can result in code enforcement action. Homeowners should be considerate of neighbors and keep excessive noise, including fireworks and loud music, to a minimum after 11:00 p.m. on Fourth of July.
Fireworks Safety
Fireworks are known to cause thousands of injuries each year. If you choose to use legal fireworks, City of Orlando Fire Department offers the following safety tips:

Anyone using fireworks or standing nearby should wear protective eyewear
Never hold lighted fireworks in your hands
Never light fireworks indoors
Only use fireworks away from people, houses and flammable material

Only light one device at a time and maintain a safe distance after lighting
